Since GHBL was awarded Big Local Area status in 2012, we have carried out extensive ongoing consultations with the communities of Grassmoor and Hasland to identify their priorities for making the area an even better place to live. The outcomes of this engagement and the aspirations of local people are collated in our Community Profile.  Details of the types of activity to be undertaken, how much funding will be allocated to the different strands, who will lead on them and when they will take place can be found in our Big Local Plan.

Our Budget

Our budget has been aligned to the Working Groups, with ringfenced allocations profiled on a longer term lifetime basis and in the shorter term against known upcoming activity, with spend being similarly recorded and aligned. Funding is released by the Local Trust, who oversee the Big Local programme, on a six montlhly basis according to the profile in the Big Local Plan.

Volunteer Expenses

Volunteers are encouraged to claim for any expenses they incur as a direct result of GHBL activity, such as travel expenses etc. They are not expected to purchase any items (e.g. tea/coffee, office supplies, equipment) with their own money as the support workers can procure these - if unavoidable, please seek prior agreement from GHFutures Ltd.  You can download an Expenses Claim Form here.
