The responses to our consultations suggested to us that as well as Communication & Engagement, there are 2 key areas in which to focus the efforts of Big Local; People and Place and these have resulted in six working groups being identified.  For more information about the groups and their projects, please click on the links below:

Grassland Hasmoor Big Local provides opportunities for residents of all ages to actively engage in their chosen projects and volunteer to make community improvements.
Projects are created by residents who have aspirations to make their neighbourhood an even better place to live.  GHBL encourages investing
time in the community and, sometimes, we wonder...where does the time go?

• As well as the projects that are already up and running, we are always keen to hear about new project ideas and to welcome volunteers to sign up to groups to drive ideas forward. Please see the Events section of this website for details of working group meeting dates or contact our support workers Dallas Asher on 07825 183569 or Karin Evangelides on 07825 294346 who will also be able to provide information about our current volunteering opportunities.

The role of the Working Groups is to:

• Raise awareness and involvement
• Try to understand the main issues, locally
• Assess the challenges and barriers
• Establish a number of long-term goals
• Set down some short-term milestones
• Develop an Action Plan
• Submit Funding Proposals to GHBL Board
• Collect the evidence and review progress
